Rosacea is an inflamed, swollen, red, infectious breakout and/or flushed skin condition. It characteristic by the redness that affects the skin on the nose, cheeks and often through the eyebrows also. In addition, Rosacea can present itself in two different forms, dry Rosacea or oily Acne Rosacea.
It causes persistent redness in the central part of your face. Small blood vessels on your nose and cheeks often swell and become visible. Many people develop pimples that resemble acne, making the skin feel hot and tender. It can also effect the eyes, causing the lids to swell and the eyes to become dry, irritated and swollen. The skin on the nose thickens and the nose itself becomes bulbous, this mainly occurs in men.
